WOMAN CYCLIST’S DEATH.
EVIDENCE AT INQUEST. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Sept. 13. An inquest in connection with the death of Rose Fear, a widow, who, while cycling at Claudelands on August 14, collided with a motor-car with fatal result, was held to-day. The evidence indicated that deceased was crossing a road towards a footpath on her right hand side. A car driven by George W. Carter, of Cambridge, was coming in the opposite direction, and Swerved to go behind her, but she, suddenly seeing the car, tried to swerve back to her left hand side. She was caught on the bonnet of the car and carried some distance. The Coroner (Mr Wyvern Wilson) found that death was due to this collision, and expressed the opinion that the driver was not to blame.
