GERMAN SENSATION.
CONSPIRACY NIPPED IN BUD. MANY ARRESTS EFFECTED. (Australian Press Association.) BERLIN, Sept. 12. There now have been over forty arrests in connection with the bomb outrages, including Frau Dozel, the mother of Captain Herbert Volk. Captain Volk is regarded as one of the leaders of the conspiracy. He escaped to Holland, hut the. Dutch police have-been asked to arrest him. Among others are Ulxse and Elilert, prominent Fascists and editors of the Schleswig Holsteincr and Tages Zeitung. Hammans and Muhtmann, leaders of the Holstein farmers’ movement, were arrested when leaving a meeting of farmers at Breslau. There has been a further arrest in connection with the bomb factory in a Berlin flat. A majority of those arrested there deny complicity, but some of those arrested at Hamburg admit their guilt and further arrests are expected. It is believed that the promptness of the police nipped a conspiracy in the bud.
