FREEZING INDUSTRY.
REPORT OF FEILDING COMPANY. PROFIT SHOWN. (Special to “Standard,”) FEILDING, Sept. 14. The fifteenth annual report of the Feilding Farmers’ Freezing Company, Limited, states as follows: “The year’s operations resulted in a profit of £4073 14s, which has been written off as depreciation. The killings for the season were 225,229 sheep and lambs and 2393 cattle, showing increases of 9036 and 34 respectively. The company also treated 19,663 calves and 1520 pigs, this being new business. It is confidently expected that this branch of the company’s operations will show a considerable increase during the coming season. Satisfactory arrangements have been made for next season, which will enable the company to purchase all classes of stock at the highest ruling market rates. The retiring directors are Messrs. D. coins, L. T. McLean and W. J. Poison. Being eligible they offer themselves for re-election. The auditor, Mr S. M. Hobbs, also offers himself for reelection.”
