AUSTRALIAN BUSHMEN.
PRAISE BY MINISTER. “Australian bushmen are among the finest men alive,” declared Canon E. N. Gowing, the Southend minister, who w-as born in Sydney, iii the course of a sermon dealing with the alleged misconduct of London East End visitors. “When they come to town they often behave riotously, to escape from the monotony of life. The East End ot London is a thousand times more monotonous than the Australian bush,” he added.
