Christie called on Rev. W. H. Nicholas to accept, on-fcehalf of the society, a foundtain pen as a mark of the members’ appreciation. Air Christie referred to the fact that during Air Nicholas’s term of office as secretary lie had refused to accept any remuneration and the society thought it only fitting that they should in some way show_ their appreciation of his services. Air Nicholas suitably responded and facetiously remarked that, although li’is sermons were often dry, he would take, good care not to let his pen run dry. Ho very much appreciated the gift and would cherish it as a reminder of his association with the society.
