ESCAPE FROM FIRE.

FAMILY AT OTAHUHU. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 16. A family of seven had a narrow escape from being burned to death when a house in Otahuhu was destroyed by fire on Sunday morning. Mr Giles, the owner and occupier, was in bed listening to the wireless when he fell asleep. He awoke to find the room in flames. He rushed to the room where' his children were sleeping and got them out safely. The house and contents were insured for £570.
