MOTOR SMASH.

INQUEST ON VICTIMS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND. Sept. 13. An inquest was opened before Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., into the death, of Alfred Clark, aged 36 years, and Mrs Aileen Parkinson, aged 27, who were killed in a motor smash on the Great South road on Saturday night. Evidence was given by a brother-in-law of Mr Clark that he was a married man, with six children. Joseph Allen Parkinson stated he was the husband of Aileen Parkinson. They had no children. He w;as at work on Saturday night and did not know his wife was out in a motor car. He last saw her alive at 2 p.m. on Saturday, when she said she was going for a walk. He did not go home for tea on Saturday. The Coroner adjourned the inquests sine die.
