BRITISH SOLDIERS POPULAR. ATTRACTIVE-LOOKING FRAULEINS. (United Press Association; —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) ' (Australian Press Association.) Received September 17, 2 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 16. The popularity of the British soldier in the Rhineland is strikingly-evi-denced in the illustrations of the affectionate leave-taking of attractivelooking frauleins. The German newspapers, commenting on the departure of the troops, say that the “Tommies” did not seem to be anxious, and the civilians were equally unwilling to lose them. It is estimated that about 100 out of 6000 married Germans. A sergeant-major said that the German girls were great pals, but not so good as the English girls.
