CHURCHES’ RESOLUTION. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 17. After several speakers had mada strong protests against the continuation of compulsory military training in New Zealand, the Council of Christian Congregations recommended its executive to give favourable consideration to the following resolution: “This meeting wishes the Compulsory Military Training Act to be removed from tne Statute Book, this being in the best interests of New Zealand and in the fulfilment of our obligations as a member of the League of Nations.”
