SIX CAPTIVES RELEASED. “GENTLEMAN BRIGAND.” WIDE SEARCH FOR GANG, (United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Service.) Received September 18, 10.10 a.m. LONDON, Sept. 17. The Daily Guardian’s correspondent at Athens states: — “After being a week in the clutches of Tzazas, the so-called gentleman brigand of Greece, six captives, including Senator Hadjakaiti and his daughter, were released on the payment of ransom amounting to £1333. “Tzazas originally captured 100 holiday-makers at Tricala. He made the men turn out thier pockets. He took their names, retained the wealthiest and sent the remainder to Tricala with a demand for a ransom. “Thousands of troops and police are now. scouring the mountains in search of the gang led by Tzazas, but it is feared that the trail has been lost. “It was feared hitherto that if the gang were pursued the captives would lose their lives.”
