BLASTING FATALITY.
Per Press Association. GISBORNE, Sept. 17. William Arthur Eves, a married man residing at Gisborne, was killed at Waioeka Valley this morning while engaged in blasting operations. The effect of a shot was apparently more severe than had been anticipated, and the deceased, was struck on the head by flying metal. He succumbed within a few minutes.
