CORONER TRAPPED.

BREACH OF MOTORING LAW. “ Motorists will be tickled to death when they hear that I am caught in the trap,” said Mr John Lancelot Martin, the Coroner of Reading, when he was summoned for refusing to stop at the white line on a roadway. Mr Martin recently launched a vigorous campaign against motorists, characterising motor-cyclists as maniacs and saloon-car owners as hogs treating him like dirt because he only drove a three-wheeler. When a policeman remonstrated with him for not stopping, Mr Martin retorted, “Do as you like. I am here in order to see what is occurring, and .1 am also engaged in m murder inquest . which is a sight more important than traffic.” Mr Martin was fined £3 10s.
