REMOVAL OF ARBITRATOR.

Per Press Association. NAPIER, Sept. 19. Mr Justice MacGregor gave his reserved judgment in a case in the Supreme Court in which the Napier City Council appeared in support of a summons for the removal of J. J. Lancaster, electrical engineer, of Wellington, the Hawke’s Bay Power Board’s nominee, as* arbitrator in a question referred to arbitration in respect of a bulk supply agreement between the board and the council. His Honour held that since Mr Lancaster had been in the employ of the Hawke’s Bay Power Board lie could not be expected to approach the matter without a slight though unintended bias in favour of his former employers, and accordingly ordered his removal.
