Its main purpose is to set up ad. hoc. bodies representative of the local authorities in whose territories encroachment by the sea is taking place. These new authorities will be enabled to concert schemes to prevent erosion over wide areas. The bill itself will not make provision for any money to assist in the work, but it may be taken as one part of the Government’s plans for the l’elief of unemployment.
