FIRE ON STEAMER.
COAL SMOULDERING. Received September 21. 9.50 a.m. i ALBANY, Sept. 21. The Irish steamer Knockfurna arrived at the King George’s Sound today with 1000 tons of coal smouldering and giving off a jxiwerful gas. It is difficult to ascertain how far the fire has penetrated, bub it has beeu decided to flood the hold.
