BROADCASTING SERVICES.
WARSAW’S TO BE REMODELLED. ~TTISH WORKMANSHIP. (British Officinl Wireless.) Received September 24, 11.50 a.m. RUGBY, Sept. 23. An important success for British industry has been secured by Marconi’s Wireless Telegraph Company, Limited. Tlie company has been successful in obtaining one' of the largest orders given of- recent years in connection with broadcasting services. This order is for a large extension of the Polish broadcasting organisation which, following the British example, is to be remodelled. The installations will be of the most modern and up-to-date type, both as regards technique and design. It is confidently anticipated tlias, when the work is completed, Poland will possess one of the most modern and efficient broadcasting services in the world. A 120 kilowatt station will be situated near Warsaw and will be used in addition to the 12 kilowatt Marconi station at present there. Two stations will bo employed simultaneously for the transmission of alternativte programmes. Two new 16 kilowatt stations will be situated at Lemberg and Vilna—they will provide programmes for areas outside the range of he lower-powered station at Warsaw.
Of three local relay stations, one will be situated at Lodz.
