Cbaalit. tUn Stiwt L *. CUNNINGHAM E, CWabl IT BwAw. ORMOND HOOPER. Cb.ml.t V Kvwvvvvyi 'l'yi 1 /'/ £44 from 3 L Egg-profit to date from a beginning with 7 Fowls , Read of the profits this man made from a beginning with 7 fowls. Follow his plan —feed wi h Karswood Poultry Spice .—and profit will come your way too. " I started poultry keeping buying 7 Bantams for 3/- as day-old chicks, rearing them with a box and hot-water bottle, which I re-filled several times a day, and feeding them on “KARSWOOD." In a few weeks they were fine sturdy birds. Rearing everyone out of the lot I got 5 pullets and 2 cockerels and at 23 weeks got the first egg. The pullets laid so well that I decided to have a larger breed. Selling some of my Bantam eggs 1 purchased a setting of White Leghorn eggs as two of my Bantams wanted to sit. 1 put 7 eggs under one, and 6 under the other, and they hatched every chick which l reared exactly as the others. From the 13 chicks I had 9 pullets and 4 cockerels. The latter I sold, and bought a pedigree bird. Still feeding my birds on Karswood Poultry Spice they started laying wonderfully, and looked the picture of health. The first season I sold 30 sittings of eggs at 3/6d. a sitting, and the people told me what excellent results they had had from them. Now, finding there was Pay in Poultry, I started to get other breeds. R.l.R’s., White Wyandottes, and still continued with the White Leghorns, which consists of 3stock birds, 41 hens, 28 pullets. I sell all my hens at 2 years old at from 3/- to 3/6. Sitting eggs * 3/6. Cockerels from 4lto s/6d. Eating eggs at j/. to a/gd. according to the season. 1 make all my fowl houses out of packing cases and cycle crates, size 6 ft. long, 4 ft. high, 4 ft. wide, raised 18 ins. from the ground with board around the bottom to form a scratching shed. I keep a record of profits which are, up-to-date, £44/ ig/gd., besides all my stock, houses, brooders, etc. So you will see the fowls appreciate being fed on the Karswood System, the results of which I appreciate myself.” Original letter on file for inspection. —F.H. Note the Economy If- packet supplies 20 hens 16 days. 2/- packet supplies 20 hens 32 days. 71b. tin( 12/6) supplies 140 hens 32 days. 141 b. tin(23/6) supplies 280 hens 32 days. 281 b. tin (45/6) supplies 560 hens 32 days. Try a Shilling Packet. Ask your poultry-food dealer to supply you with a 1/- packet of Karswood Poultry Spice, adding postage if necessary, and try it for a fortnight on half-a-dozen hens. Results are not instantaneous—it takes a fortnight or three week to improve the egg return. If your local dealer cannot supply, send a postcard to the New Zealand Agents (address below), asking the name of the nearest dealer who supplies Karswood Poultry Spice. Manufactured by E. Griffiths Hughes Ltd., Manchester (Established 1756). Supplies stocked by Fairbaim, Wright & Co., Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin, and by all Wholesalers and Stores throughout New Zealand. KARSWOOD POULTRY SPICE Increases egg-production without Forcing, because it ground insects but no cayenne pepper. 25/12/HB
