MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
CIVIL BUSINESS. Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., presided over this morning’s sitting of the Magistrate’s Court when civil business was transacted. Judgment for plaintiff by default was given in the undermentioned cases:—A. Burgess (Mr Meatyard) v. P. Flett, £4 18s 6d, costs £2 Is 6d; J. H. Sharman (Mr Grant) v. F. Paulsen, £3, costs £1 6s 6d; C. M. Ross Coy., Ltd. (Mr Laurenson) v. W. Baker, £8 11s lid, costs £1 10s 6d; Ford Motors (Manawatu) Ltd. (Mr Grant) v. V. C. Laird, £26 14s 6d, costs £4 2s 6d. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. J. Cribb, who did not appear, was ordered to pay Ford Motors (Manawatu) Ltd. (Mr Grant) the sum of £ll 12s 4d forthwith, in default ten days’ imprisonment at Wellington. V. M. Rowlands, who did not appear, was ordered to pay the Colonial Ammunition Co., Ltd. (Mr Laurenson) the sum of £4 12s 6d, in default five days’ imprisonment at Palmerston North.
