At the wool sales to-day, 8269 bales were offered, of which 1705 were from New Zealand. q* There was a good selection of greasy Merinos, and a limited selection of ocher 6orts. There was fair competition, and quotations were unchanged. New Zealand, realisations:—Greasy crossbred, Meadowbank, top price 16id, average price 16d.
MELBOURNE AND BRISBANE. Received September 24, 10 a.m. MELBOURNE, Sept. 24. The wool sales opened to-day. Prices are on a par with those ruling in other markets during the past week. Received September 24, ■ 10 a.m. BRISBANE, Sept. 24. The prices for the opening of the wool sales are on a par with those ruling in Sydney last week.
BRADFORD MARKET. Received September 24, 10.0 a.m. (Australian Press Association.) LONDON, Sept. 23. The Bradford market is extremely flat; quotations are slightly easier.
