Sir, —Through the medium of your paper I should like to inquire why those unfortunate persons who, even though in possession of a driver’s license but unable to produce same on being accosted bv the inspector shouldbe convicted in the Magistrate’s Court. Surely it would be more reasonable if, under such a circumstance, the name was taken and the license produced at the inspector’s office later; for what with change of clothing and other reasons it is quite possible for this small article to be temporarily mislaid. This method is carried out in other towns, and I am sure could be brought into practice here. —I am, etc., . 1 INTERESTED.
