DISABLED STEAMER.

SHIP EMBEDDED IN REEF. (Australian Press Association.) Received September 25, 10 a.m. COLOMBO, Sept. 24. The tug Hercules has sent a wireless message stating that it has arrived at Minicoy Island. A diver examined the bottom 'of the German steamer Hocliet, and it is believed that the ship is embedded in a reef, thus averting the prospect of her breaking up.

The Hoehst was bound from Colombo to Europe when she went aground. Minicoy Island is over 400 miles from Colombo and is a storm-swept 6pot in tire path of tho approaching northeast monsoon.
