CLERICAL ASSOCIATION.
GATHERING OF MEMBERS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) FOXTON, Sept. 26. The Rangitikei Clerical Association held its first meeting locally in Foxton on Tuesday in All Saints’ Vicarage when Rev. W. H. Walton presided. There were also present Revs. Canon Woodward (Palmerston North), P. Wiltshire, J. C. Abbott (Palmerston North), G. Young (Shannon), J C Davies (Levin), J. Moir (Otaki), R. B White (Bulls), J. W. Burgin, G. H. Fenwick and H. B. Goetz (Ashhurst). An apology for absence was recoived from Rev. Canon Petrie who was to have read a paper at the meeting. In his unavoidable absence, however, Rev. J. C. Abbott read a paper on pagan rohgions which proved very interesting. . The visitors were entertained to luncheon and afterwards a short service was conducted in All Saints’ Church. On the resumption of the meeting in the afternoon tho chairman took the opportunity of welfiomine to the association three new members, Revs. Canon G. Y. Woodward (Palmerston North), H. B.
