RHEUMATIC BUG.

DOES NOT PREFER BLONDES. The popular belief that blonde persons are proue to rheumatic ailments, and that red-lieaded children are especially liable to rheumatic fever, is contested by Drs Grayhill and Mary Allan in the London Medical Journal.

The doctors state that they recorded the characteristics of 562 rheumatic patients in hospitals, and found that only 60 were fair-headed or blue-eyed. They therefore concluded there was no type that could fairly be described as the rheumatic type of child.
