PIGEON FLYING.

The Manawatu Homing Pigeon Club held a race from Te Kuiti at the week-end, the adverse weather conditions being responsible for only twelve birds homing in race time. The results were :—Mr P. Murphy’s First Blood, 830.0yds per min, 1; Mr R. Mouldey’s Limerick, 835.5yds per min. 2; Mr J. Danks’s Doubtful, 833.1yds per min. 3; Mr A. Stuart’s Cheeky, 706.7yds per min. 4; Mr P. Wills’s King Peter, 700.9yds per min. 5.
