CLOUDLESS SKIES.
LONDON’S DRY SPELL. CENTURY-OLD RECORD BROKEN. (British Official Wireless). RUGBY, Sept. 26. Under cloudless skies and with a promise from the official meterologists of a continuance of dry weather, London to-day experienced its 35th conse-cutive-rainless day. This period exceeds any recorded in the capital for 105 years. An extensive high-pressure area covers Southern England, and the sunshine total on the east of the South Coast since the beginning of the month exceeds 200 hours. September also provided a record of high temperatures.
Although water supplies in the towns cause no anxiety, fanners in some areas are finding the absence of rain serious.
