MISS SYBIL THORNDIKE TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND. TOUR WITH ACTOR HUSBAND. Received January 26, 11.0 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 25. Mias Sybil Thorndike, the famous actress, and her husband, Mr Lewis Casson, are leaving in March on a tour. They will play in Egypt, Palestine, Australia. New Zealand, the Argentine and Canada. , Miss Thorndike is considered to be Britain’s greatest actress. She is the daughter of an Anglican clergyman, and has had a noted success in. Shakespearean and other plays. Miss Thorndike had the role of The Maid in-“St. Joan,” when Shaw’s arresting version of the life of the French saint was produced in England.
