MEAT SAFE THEFTS
Per' Press Association. , HAMILTON, Jan. 27. ■ Known among residents of Hamilton East as a meat safe thief, John Francis Schdroski, aged 26, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court this morning to eighteen charges of theft of food, liquor and miscellaneous articles between July and November last year. Thirteen thefts were from meat safes and huthouses in the early hours of the morning. * Accused was sentenced to six months’ hard labour on each of threfr indictable offences, the sentences to be cumulative, and twelve months on each-of 15 minor charges, the terms to be concurrent. i '
