AINSLIE SHIELD RETAINED. The Terrace End Bowling ' Club easily staved off a challenge for the Ainslio Shield from the, Foxion ,Cltib yesterday afternoon. Playing '{>: nt home, Terrace End won ' both games by a decisive margin. The detailed scores are as follow, Terrace End pltty-' ers being mentioned - first : Helsby, Smith, Collier, Snell (skip) 39 v. Robinson, Heppner, Christie, Mattar (skip) 15: Bee. Troy, Dixon, Johnson (skip) 32 v. Hinds, Newth, Huntly, Nve (skip) 8.
FEILDING RINK’S SUCCESS IN 1 TARANAKI.
The Feilding Bowling Club rink, consisting of Williamson, Lawson, Moore and Wenham (skip), which is participating in the Taranaki Bowling Centre’s annual tournament at New Plymouth, has been more successful with the progress of play. In the third round of section C on the second day the rink beat that of W. Taylor (New Plymouth) 36—11. In the fourth round, the rink beat that of T. Corkill (Hawera), 24—16.. The rink ties with four others with two wins arid two losses for third place on the section table.
