UNITED STATES DECISION. WASHINGTON, Jan. 27. The Government torday went on record as being against any inflation of the currency when' Mr Andrew Mellon informed Senator Walsh (Massachusetts) that the Treasury opposed any suggestion for a billion dollar bond issue against which a billion dollar notes could be issued. He declared that the country faces no currency. shortage.
