GOLD EXPORTS.
FIGURES SHOW INCREASE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Jan. 29.,. Gold amounting to: 16,649 ounces and valued at £68,959 was exported from New Zealand during the month of December, 1931. The amount for the corresponding month of 1930 was 5518 ounces, valued at £22,700. Last month's figures, therefore, show an increase in value of £46,259, or an increase in quantity amounting to 11,131 ounces over the returns for December of th« preceding year.
