AS GOOD AS A PROPOSAL. A rather novel Christmas present was received by a good-natured old bachelor in a Wellington boardinghouse. Right through the year he had ply of free “Baxter’s” for the benefit of his suffering fellow-boarders. One lady of uncertain age, who was thought to take undue advantage of his generosity, made amends by presenting him with a “family size” bottle of Baxter’s Lung Preserver on Christmas Day. “As good as a Proposal,” said the wag of the house. “Baxter’s” should bo in every household all the year round, ready to deal effectively with coughs, colds, hoarseness, and throat afflictions, and as a safeguard against influenza. The huge Domin-ion-wide following that ‘ ‘Baxter’s’ ’ has is a wonderful tribute to the efficacy of this remedy. Generous size bottle 2s 6d, bachelor size Is 6d, family size 4s 6d, at all chemists and stores'.— Advt.
