MAN DISAPPEARS,

HAMILTON, Feb. 1. Fears are entertained for the safety of John Edward. .Fouls, single, aged 24, who disappeared while swimming in the Waikato River at Hamilton yestedray afternoon. Although there were fifty people in the vicinity none saw him disappear. Dragging operations so far have proved unsuccessful.
