PROBABLE CANDIDATES. Received February 1, 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 31. i There are expected to be about 270 candidates for the 152 seats in the forthcoming Irish Free State elections. There will Be about one hundred each for the Government and the Fianna Fail, and thirty for Labour. •President Cosgrave, speaking at Dublin, said the Government intended to continue its film suppression of terrorism. The people must not be misled by the old device of using individual grievances to ovefshadow the community’s interests. The Administration was determined to. uphold- the treaty of policy, friendship and co-operation with Britain, which was the Free State’s best customer, Mr Cosgrave added.
