For a horse of his inches and racing experience, Senegal produced a, splendid finishing effort on tho second day at Woodville, and he should go on to better things. Aston is now well down in the weights, but the old follow is finding it difficult to capture a stake. He appeared to have his opportunity on tho second day at Woodville, but ho again failed. After Money, a filly by Paper Money— Afterglow, was slow to find her feet at both her starts at Woodvilie, but she finished well and was able to furnish her first stake contribution with a third on tho second day. Invictus, a. four-year-old gelding by St., Petersburg from Mydora, had only £4 invested upon his chances when he ran second in tho Papatawa Hurdles on tho second day at Woodvilie. Tho dividend was a lucrative one.

By Rosewing from Linln.s, the latter is a full-sister to liileacre, the dam of Tresham, Bon ITur and Golden Shadow were freely made uso of in the Stewards’ Handicap on tho second day at Woodvilie, and weakened to finish outside the placed horses. However, tho efforts promise better things in the near future, more particularly where the former is concerned.
