SUSPECTED ASSASSIN. AMSTERDAM, Dec. 13. A well-dressed unknown German, armed with a revolver and a bowie knife, was discovered in a cellar of the ex-Kaiser’s residence. It is believed that lie intended to assassinate the exKaiser. He was overpowered after a vigorous resistance. He refuses to make any statement. The police are reticent regarding the intruder whom ■ servants recognised as a man seen loitering in the village for the past few days. He apparently climbed the castle wall and hid in the tower.
