MEMBERS STARTLED.

MAN WITH REVOLVER. Received December 14, 11.25 a.m. WASHINGTON, Dec. 13. A man giving his name as Martin Kemerer, from Allentown, Pennsylvania, stood up in the gallery of the House of Representatives on Tuesday and, covering the floor with a revolver, with one foot over the rail, he waved the gun toward the members. Representatives looked up startled and some headed for the cloakrooms. “I want the floor for a few minutes,’’ the man shouted. He stood for a few moments, waving the gun. Then Representative Melvin Maas, a Republican, of Minnesota, walked across the Chamber directly below him and said : “Throw down that gun.” He pitched the gun to Mr Maas, who caught it. The police lushed into the gallery, seizing the man and the House resumed its proceedings.
