CATHOLIC SCHOOLS.
CLOSING IN WINNIPEG. Received December 14, 9.45 a.m. WINNIPEG, Dec. 13. All the Catholic schools in Winnipeg will be closed at the end of the year, it was announced on Tuesday by Monsignor A. A. Sinnott, Archbishop of Winnipeg, and the public schools will be called upon to provide 2400 more children from grades one to eight. The Archbishop stated that after more than forty years of effort the burden had become greater than could be borne. Ten schools will be closed. It was announced that the pupils will be accommodated by the public schools.
