“GO SLOW” TACTICS
OPPOSED BY RELIEF WORKERS. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec. 14. There appears to be no evidence that the “go slow” order issued by the Unemployed Workers’ Alovement executive is being heeded by many men. On the contrary, a meeting of 115 relief workers on one City Council job this morning passed a resolution repudiating “go slow” tactics, and this is believed to be the attitude of tho great majority of the others. PROTEST AGAINST RELIEF CUT. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, Dec. 14. Hamilton relief workers downed tools this morning and waited on tho Labour Department representative protesting against the cuts iij relief pay. The spokesman held that the unemploy«l of Hamilton woidcl not !x> responsible for their actions if something were not done to remedy tho plight they are in Tho men resumed work later.
