PRAISE FOR NAPIER
RECOVERY FROM EARTHQUAKE. Per Press Association. . NAPIER, Dec. 13. Warm praise for the progress Napier is making towards complete recovery from the earthquake disaster was expressed by His Honour the Chief Justice, Sir M. Myers, at the opening of the Hawke’s Bay Adjustment Court at Napier this morning. Voicing the pleasure felt by himself and his associates, Messrs L. O. H. Tripp and H. J. von Haast, at the change which had taken piace since their last visit, His Honour said: "It is four months since Mr Von Haast and I were last in Napier, and six months since Mr Tripp was here, and all are delighted, as well ns astonished, at the progress which has been made in the restoration, and not only in the restoration but a.lso in the beautifying of this fine little town of yours. "The improvements which have been made on the waterfront are attractive and delightful, and the buildings which are being erected would be a credit to any town in New Zealand.”
