OLD RIVER BED ON AVEST COAST. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN. Dec. 13. Advice has been received by a Dunedin mining engineer, Air R. T. Stewart, that an old river bed rich in gold has been discovered on the AVest Coast. One bucketful yielded £5 worth of gold. Air Stewart declined to disclose the locality of the find, but stated that difficulty was experienced in sinking a shaft owing to the wet nature of the ground. The old channel has been pegged out for a distance of six miles.
