DEATH AT ENTERTAINMENT.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec. 16. Tragic circumstances marked the death last evening of Mr F. Souster, an architect. He was a local preacher in the Methodist Church, and last night attended a gathering in the Mission Hall, where 100 poor children and mothers had been invited to a Christmas' tree Und entertainment. Mr Souster went on the stage and twice played on the handbells, and then he wished everybody a happy Christmas. Oil returning to his seat he collapsed, and it was soon found that he was dead The chairman asked all to leave the hall quietly and reverently, and pronounced the Benediction. The children were each given a toy before going and they left unaware of what had happened.
