ASHHURST.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) ASHIIURST, Doc. 16. The bi-monthly meeting of the Boy Scout Committee was held in the I arish Hall on Monday. Mr W. G. Romlev (chairman and treasurer) presided, and there were 1 present Messrs R. Dobson, H. benwick, Davis, A. \V. Trass and the .scoutmaster, Rev. R. E. Fordycc. . Mr G. lv. Taylor’s resignation was received on account of his removal to Patoa, and another resident is to be approached to fill the vacancy. There had been six parados since the last meeting of the committee. Commissioner N. D. Stubbs bad visited the troop and Scoutmaster Hydo had rendered somo much appreciated assistance. the scoutmaster hoped to accompany a party of bo vs to the proposed camp to be held at Coal Creek. Mr Davis, being present for tlie first time, was welcomed by the chairman, who expressed the pleasure of all at seeing Mr Amos in his place again after his serious illness.
