BOOKMAKERS IN TASMANIA

HOBART, Dec. 16. Bookmakers will bo registered in Tasmania and should bo operating early in 1932. The Legislative Council passed the Bookmakers’ Bill and the legislation will be tried for two years. The Bill provides for the establishment of betting shops in any city or town on the sanction of the Police Commissioner.
