ALL SAINTS’ MEN’S CLUB
There was a very large attendance at the All Saints’ Men’s Club’s function last night, this being the last of the series till February. Rev. Canon Woodward (president) was in the chair and tlie evening was devoted to anecdotes and experiences, all of which were interesting and amusing and provided good, entertainment. The chairman introduced the new curate, Rev. F. 0. Hall, and he was also welcomed by Major J. T. Bosworth, Mr J. L. Plarwood, the secretary, and Rev. C. Hyde. Rev. Ball, in reply, expressed his pleasure at meeting such a large gathering of men and thanked tho club for its hearty welcome. He expressed Iris desire that all would work together in harmony. . A hearty vote of appreciation, with musical honours, was accorded the
secretary (Mr A. Dryden) for his work during the year. In reply, the officer concerned thanked the members for the surprise, and pointed out that the members themselves were responsible for a good deal of tire success ‘achieved during the year. A dainty supper was served by the members appointed. The chairman extended hearty Christmas greetings to all tlie members, with best wishes for the New Year. Visitors welcomed were Mr E. Williams (recently of Mastertonf and Mr C. Wright. The singing of the Doxology concluded a highly interesting evening.
