LATE MR V. T. DIBBLE.
FINAL RESPECTS PAID. The funeral took place yesterday of the late Mr V. T. Dibble. The very lengthy cortege was a tribute to the general esteem in which the deceased gentleman was held, and many friends, as well as tho representatives of various organisations, were present, to pay their final respects. The service at the graveside was conducted by Canon G. Y. Woodward, followed by a Masonic service conducted for United Manawatu Lodge by Wor. Bros. F. Gatley, B. Tennent and P. S. Larcomb, assisted by lodge members. The paU-bearers were Messrs C. Louisson ana N. Blackmore (Manawatu Racing Club), A. H. Honeyfield and J. W. Rodden, N. Sinclair and M. Millar. Many beautiful wreaths and emblems were placed upon the grave, including tributes from the president and stewards of the Manawatu Racing Club, officers and brethren of Unitod Manawatu Lodge, Manawatu A. nnd P. Association, Woodyilie Jockey Club, Accountants’ Society, Wellington Racing Club, employees Awapuni Racecourse, Manawatu Racing Club pay-out, accounting and mechanical staffs, the club’s gate staff, Palmerston North Rotary Club, Manawatu Speedways, Manawatu Trotting, Club, Officers and Brethren Lodge Morningside (Auckland), R.S.A. (Palmerston North branch), Manawatu Hunt Club, Manawatu Racing Club office staff, Wellington Centre Red Cross Society, Awapuni trainers, president and members Manawatu Aero Chub, president and members Manawatu Club, Palmerston North Red Cross Society, Red Cress nursing class, Ashhurst Racing Club, members of deceased’s family and personal friends.
