RETURNING TO WORK.
STRIKE IN CAPETOWN ENDED. Received December 19, 1.5 p.m. CAPETOWN, Dec. 18. Due to the mediation of the Minister of Labour, Mr F. H. P. Creswell, Capetown’s tram and bus strike ended after protracted week-end discussions, the men agreeing to the employers’ terms, which include an immediate return to work without loss ot status, no victimisation and recognition of the present union executive and shop stewards. Full services are being resumed to-morrow. Comparatively little damage was done during the strike.
