PERSIAN OIL DISPUTE.
CONSIDERATION OF DISPUTE. Received December 20, 1.40 p.m. GENEVA, Dec. 19. Mr Sean Lester, who is presiding in the absence of Mr do Valera, has telegraphed to the British and Persian Governments declaring confidence that both will refrain from aggravating the dispute pending a settlement. NO BRITISH WARSHIPS SENT. Received December 20, 12.20 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 19. In the House of Commons, Sir Bolton Eyres-Monsell stated that no warships had been sent to Persian waters to protect the Anglo-Persian Oil Company’s interests.
