HEART ATTACK.

SUDDEN ILLNESS OF MR GEORGE JONES. Received December 20, 1.55 p.m. MELBOURNE, Dec. 20. The trainer, Mr George Jones, who is managing a big team of New Zealand and other horses, collapsed at Caulfield this morning from a heart attack. He was taken home in a bad state of health.

Mr Jones was formerly one of the best known trainers in Now Zealand, the horses under his care having included some ■of the finest in the Dominion. Amongst them was Sasanof, winner of the Melbourne Cup in 1916 and the New Zealand Cup in 1018; and Commendation, the latter having won the Awnpuni Gold Stakes in 1927 when Mr Jones was training for Mr W. 11. Gaisford.
