OROUA DOWNS, Dec. 18. Many parents and children attended the break-up concert and danco, held in the Memorial Hall on Friday evening, by the School Committee: Several children’s items were given and great credit is due to tho teachers for their untiring efforts in training tho children up to the high standard shown. The children’s items were as follow: —Chorus, “Sing-a-ling,” playotte; ‘Grand to bo a King,” by the infants; chorus, “shopping,” by seniors; “Little Peters Parley”; recitation, “The Wooden Pail,” “Shepherds and Shepherd-

esses” ; playette, “At the Photographer’s,” by the Seniors; chorus, “Good-night,” At the conclusion of tho concert supper was handed round by the committee and helpers. Dancing was held until a late hour, the music being supplied by Miss McKenzie, of Bainesse. Air W. Caithness acted as M.C. During an interval, Mr Hobbs proposed a hearty vote of thanks to the three teachers for their splendid efforts in helping to raise funds for tho school and in carrying out their school work to the advantage of the children. The school had 100 per cent, proficiency passes this year. Air J. B. Bennett (headmaster) xiplied on behalf of his assistants and himself. Air O. W. Berg (chairman) gave out the prizes to tho children at a convenient time after tho stage had been cleared.
