HEAVY RAINS.
FLOODS IN AVEST AUSTRALIA TRAFFIC DISORGANISED.
Received December 20, 10 a.m. PERTH, Dec. 20. Following very heavy rains, parts of the East Kimberley, Gascoyne and Alurchison districts are flooded. Numerous washaways occurred. , A train was derailed near Meekatharra, where the water ran four feet over the line. The engine sank into the mud until the water entered the fire boxes. Traffic is disorganised. A man was drowned while attempting to cross a flooded creek.
